Stacy Lovdahl comes to us from Catawba County Schools. She's taught 7th an 8th-grade science since 2001, served as Department Chairperson, Science Olympiad coach and was the NCSTA Region 7 Science Teacher of the Year. Stacy is passionate about the power of being a connected educator to transform teaching and learning. She is a Twitter-aficionado, active in many Voxer groups and connects with educators and their students nationally and globally.

Stacy provides professional development in instructional technology integration with a focus on effective use of Google tools for student collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. She flipped her science classroom and applies that knowledge to her flipped and blended learning sessions and she is assisting her home district with implementing personalized learning. Stacy also provides PD sessions on Schoolnet, Canvas, and PowerSchool.

Before becoming an educator, Stacy was an environmental consultant working with engineering consulting firms to investigate and remediate contaminated properties in North Carolina and nationwide. She has a Bachelors of Science in Aquatic Environments/Environmental Science and earned her Masters in Instructional Technology and Computers from Appalachian State University in 2014.



Teika Clavell comes to us from Cumberland County Schools where she taught 8th grade Science and served as grade level chair. In 2013, Teika was chosen to serve as a contributor to the 8th Grade Science Standards Setting Committee for North Carolina. During her time in Cumberland County Schools, she has taken on many roles at the school and district levels.

Teika has provided professional development on technology integration, Flipped classrooms, PowerSchool, Schoolnet, and Google.

Prior to joining Gray’s Creek Middle School, Teika served in the military as a medic for nine years. During this time she also taught adult education classes. Teika completed her undergraduate degree in 2012 from the University of Phoenix, where she earned undergraduate of the year. She earned her graduate degree in 2014 from the University of Illinois in Teacher Leadership. Teika is mother to an 8-year-old boy, Jason II, and a proud supporter of her husband Jason I. She is an avid reader, technology enthusiast, and a football fan.
