Teika Clavell comes to us from Cumberland County Schools where she taught 8th grade Science and served as grade level chair. In 2013, Teika was chosen to serve as a contributor to the 8th Grade Science Standards Setting Committee for North Carolina. During her time in Cumberland County Schools she has taken on many roles at the school and district levels. Teika has provided professional development on technology integration, Flipped classrooms, PowerSchool, Schoolnet, and Google. Prior to joining Gray’s Creek Middle School, Teika served in the military as a medic for nine years. During this time she also taught adult education classes. Teika completed her undergraduate degree in 2012 from the University of Phoenix, where she earned undergraduate of the year. She earned her graduate degree in 2014 from the University of Illinois in Teacher Leadership. Teika is mother to an 8 year old boy, Jason II, and a proud supporter of her husband Jason I. She is an avid reader, technology enthusiast, and football fan.
